Decide the membership category that is
best for you, prepare a check for the annual dues, and Send
the completed membership form and the check to the GTA treasurer
as specified on the application form.Potential members may
join the GTA at any time during the year. Dues are prorated
based on the number of months remaining in GTA’s fiscal
year, which is July 1 through June 30 annually. The 15th
of the month is the marker to determine if the current month
is included in the prorating. ((Annual dues x months remaining
in fiscal year)/12 months=prorated dues for the first year.)Urban
Member dues are based upon the Annual Operating Budget for
that system as listed in the GDOT Transit Fact Book multiplied
by a factor of .00045.
Urban dues have a minimum of $250
and a cap of $10,000. Specialized/Rural Member dues are
$150. This category includes all 5311 systems. Business
Member dues are $350 for FY08 and $400 for FY09. This category
includes all vendors and companies that sell products or
services to the transit industry. Governmental dues are
$250 a year for non-state agencies and divisions (non-operating,
non-funding). For Large Governmental Agencies (i.e. statewide)
dues are $2000 a year. Individual/Student Associate dues
are $50 per year.
