The GTA, with the assistance of
host transit systems, features three major events
throughout the year. Please visit each event's link
for information about the upcoming or recently completed
event. A brief description of each event follows. |

In December GTA conducts its annual conference. Breakout
sessions address current topics of interest to transit
entities and related agencies. Vendor vehicle and table
displays offer transit system staff an opportunity to
stay abreast of current industry products. There is
plenty of good food, and social opportunities including
golf and tours to insure that the business of the event
is tempered by social and networking opportunities.

“Bring a Bus to the Capitol”:
After finalizing its Legislative Agenda the GTA travels
to the Capitol to deliver its message to our state’s
elected officials. The first day of the event involves
a GTA Board meeting and reception. The next day starts
with a breakfast at the Capitol, and then GTA members
visit elected officials' offices to discuss our agenda
items. This event is popular with transit system staff
and board members, government associates and business
affiliates. The Governor, the Speaker of the House,
and transportation committee members have attended this
event in the past.

The state roadeo is hosted each
fall by a local transit system and includes a reception,
with the awards ceremony on Sunday. This event is enjoyed
and much anticipated by system staff, employees and
family members, vendors and related agencies.
